Website Template Demos
Start by Activating my
WordPress Demo Bar.
Lately I’ve been cranking out themes and posting screenshots of them at Posterous and or uploading working HTML demos to my templates folder. The problem with that was the lack of facility to present the WordPress versions I had developed.
Enter the WP Theme Demo Bar. I’m not sure this plugin is the best solution. Yes, it has been doing a great job of allowing users to demo my WordPress themes, but it fills them in with the content specific to this particular WordPress installation; whereas the HTML versions have content somewhat customized to their particular theme. Just take a look at the HTML version of my Tropical Relaxation theme and compare it to its WordPress version! I’ll have to put out a tweet and find out what the WordPress template sites do to present each template in the best light. A cursory examination of such sites seems to indicate a unique WordPress install for each template?!
I’d love to here from you if you know if a solution to this problem that doesn’t require an individual install of WordPress for each online WordPress theme demo?!
